Come along to our AGM on 26th July to find out about:
  • what EMCG aims to do for the village and why we need members
  • the new TMBC Local Plan and its current status (Mr David Thornewell, Chair of the Parish Council, has kindly agreed to make a brief presentation setting out where we currently stand)
  • annual accounts
  • outlook for the coming year
  • AOB
Francois Gordon, our Chairman for the last four years, is standing down after this AGM having achieved his commitment to oversee EMCG’s formal representations to TMBC regarding the new  Local Plan.  Currently we do not have anyone to take over as Chairperson and so there will be an open discussion at the meeting about how EMCG might proceed.

Refreshments will be served at the end of the meeting.

We would welcome more members!
Existing members will be able to renew their membership at the meeting.
Not a member already?  Ask at the meeting about become a member or visit our Membership Page for more information and to download a Membership Form.

(The Institute is at the eastern end of Mill Street behind the King & Queen Public House.  Parking is available at the rear of the Institute, accessible from New Road via the King & Queen car park).

Bulb Planting Event - Friday 20th October 2017

The Committee decided recently that it would be a nice touch to provide some spring bulbs for planting in the village and have obtained a mix of daffodil and crocus – 600 in all.
We now need to get them planted before the weather turns and so have arranged a working party for 10.30am on Friday 20th October 2017 meeting by the War Memorial opposite the King & Queen.
Please do join us if you can – and please bring with you any tools that will help with the job.  Your reward will be (we hope!) a dazzling display of flowers next spring!
